Arriving at platform free is Scots book

MORE than 150,000 copies of a collection of stories about Scotland have been handed out as part of Book Week.

Commuters at Waverley Station were amongst those to receive My Favourite Place yesterday, which features tales written by the likes of Alexander McCall Smith, Liz Lochhead and Michael Palin.

The book contains more than 30 stories, and includes a series of illustrations from leading Scottish artists.
