Auschwitz lessons

MORE Lothians youngsters will get the opportunity to visit one of the most shocking sites in modern history this year.

The Lessons from Auschwitz programme, which offers schools one-day trips to the Second World War concentration camp, has unveiled its 2012 schedule.

Already in recent years hundreds of Scottish pupils have benefited from the trips.

Holocaust Education Trust chief executive Karen Pollock said: “I strongly urge schools to take part and register for the 21012 Lessons from Auschwitz project.”
