Ban for car chase teen

A TEENAGER pursued his love rival for more than six miles in a high-speed car chase.

Lewis Wark – whose ex-girlfriend was a passenger in the other car – wanted to fight the man he thought had stolen her from him. When the other car stopped, Wark jumped out with a bottle in his hand and tried to open the driver’s door.

Wark, 18, of Bathgate, West Lothian, appeared for sentence yesterday.

Sheriff Martin Edington fined Wark £1000, banned him from driving for three years and sentenced him to 240 hours of unpaid work.
