Beechgrove star helps Dobbies grow

TELEVISION presenter Chris Beardshaw has opened a revamped garden centre.

The Beechgrove Garden personality cut the ribbon at Dobbies Garden World in Lasswade.

Its new “shopping village” includes everything a gardener could want along with a 600-seater restaurant.

There will be entertainment and special offers taking place throughout the weekend to celebrate the relaunch.

Dobbies chief executive James Barnes said: “We were very excited to have Chris Beardshaw joining us yesterday to mark the official opening of our bigger and better Dobbies. As a new Beechgrove Garden favourite, and with his expert horticultural skills, he is the perfect personality to mark the day.

“Everyone is welcome to join in the free fun across the weekend.”
