Big cheer for capital’s eco-pupils

AN event to celebrate the Eco-Schools’ achievements of pupils and staff is set to take place at Edinburgh Napier University’s Craiglockhart Campus.

It will also provide an opportunity for schools to share their experiences in the Eco-Schools’ programme.

The format will be based on a marketplace and a more formal conference. At the marketplace, there will be an opportunity for schools to view the work of others and find out how local environmental organisations can support them with Eco-Schools’ work.

The conference part of the morning will comprise two presentations from schools, with the Eco-Drama group performing an abridged version of its play, the Forgotten Orchard.

The Eco-Schools in Edinburgh Celebration, which around 200 people from 35 schools are expected to attend, has been run annually since 2005 and will take place tomorrow.
