The body of a 57-year-old man was found at an Edinburgh flat on Tuesday afternoon.

Police were called to the flat on Muirhouse Park at around 4pm on Tuesday, January 12.

It is understood that police officers remained at the scene into Tuesday evening.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said “Around 4pm on Tuesday, January 12, a 57-year-old man was found dead within a flat in Muirhouse Park, Edinburgh.

“Officers are currently at the scene carrying out enquiries.”
