Bouncer hurt in pub attack

Police are appealing for witnesses after a door steward was the victim of an assault in Dalkeith town centre.

The steward, who was working at The Buccleuch, High Street, was attacked by a man who had become confrontational about a member of his group being refused entry to the premises during the incident, which took place last Friday evening.

The victim refused medical treatment.

Officers are attempting to trace the man responsible.
