Break-in at pharmacy

POLICE are hunting a thief who broke into a pharmacy and stole medication.

The pharmacy in Niddrie Mains Road was raided some time between Tuesday night and early yesterday morning.

At about 2.45am yesterday, two men were seen on Wauchope Road carrying plastic bags. One was arrested and later charged. The other man, described as white and wearing a hooded top, escaped.

Police say the drugs could be “very dangerous” if not taken exactly as prescribed.
