Call for young scientists for competition

LIVINGSTON Labour MP Graeme Morrice is urging young research scientists, engineers and technologists in West Lothian to consider entering a major scientific competition and exhibition in parliament.

The event, SET (Science, Engineering and Technology) for Britain, will be held in the House of Commons in March, during National Science and Engineering Week.

Prizes will be awarded for the scientific posters presented in each discipline which best communicate high-level science to a lay audience.

Mr Morrice said: “I hope that some of our local researchers will consider entering and help to keep West Lothian on the map when it comes to science and engineering.”
