Capital crew left winded

THE crew of Edinburgh’s Inspiring Capital yacht have been left frustrated after poor weather saw them slip behind in the latest leg of the race.

The teams are currently sprinting towards the finish of race seven in Singapore, but after enjoying a good start, the Inspiring Capital team have slipped to ninth position.

Skipper Gordon Reid said: “After a great run yesterday for most of the day in constant wind, just before sunset we were hit by a massive squall. As the squall moved off it sucked all of the wind and energy with it and we were left drifting.”
