A car has flipped onto its roof in an accident in Edinburgh last night

A woman has been taken to hospital after car flipped onto its roof in a dramatic accident in Meadowbank late last night.

The incident happened on Parsons Green Terrace in the Meadowbank area of the Capital shortly before 11pm following reports of the overturned car.

Images show that at least one police vehicle and an ambulance were on in attendance and the woman involved was taken to hospital.

A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: “Officers in Edinburgh were called to Parsons Green Terrace at around 10:55pm on Sunday, 6 September, following a report that a car had overturned.

"One woman was taken to hospital by the Scottish Ambulance Service with minor injuries.”
