CASE FOR DEFENCE

IF you are keen to find out more about the flood defence work on the Water of Leith, a number of guided walks for the public are scheduled for next week and throughout September.

The idea behind them is to give the public a chance to ask questions about what is going on, what progress is being made and what construction methods are being used.

Each walk leaves the Falshaw Bridge at the west end of Glenogle Road in Stockbridge. They will take place on August 30 (6pm to 7pm); August 31 (5pm to 7pm); September 8 (6.30pm to 7.30pm); and September 14 (6.30pm to 7.30pm). Contact the project information line on 0333 20 20 121.
