Ms Robinson, of Livingston, had earlier pleaded guilty to stealing £250 from a cashline at Morrisons supermarket in the West Lothian town between December 20, 2011, and May 22 this year.

Elaine Brunger, defending, said Robinson felt “humiliated” and was “totally ashamed” of what she had done.

She was ordered to perform 120 hours of unpaid work under a community payback order.
