Chris Hoy frustrated at Lance Armstrong
SIR Chris Hoy has told of his frustration at having to defend cycling in the wake of the Lance Armstrong drug cheating revelations.
The six-time Olympic champion and Freeman of Edinburgh blamed the “greed and deception” of a small minority for casting shadows on the sport.
Armstrong this week admitted using performance-enhancing drugs during all seven of his Tour De France victories.
Sir Chris said: “My team mates and I will compete clean and try to win gold medals to show the next generation that it is possible.”
