City moves up conference destination rankings

Edinburgh has risen up the rankings as a conference destination.

The annual report of the International Congress and Convention Association shows Edinburgh is now 29th in the world rankings, compared with 36th last year. The report puts Edinburgh behind only London in the UK and ahead of rivals such as Glasgow and Manchester.

Lucy Bird, chief executive of Marketing Edinburgh, said: “This is well-deserved news for the city.”
