Cocaine trafficker jailed over package worth £17k

Hendry Robertson, 56, was arrested after customs at Heathrow Airport discovered a package containing coke with a maximum street value of £17,000 in February 2013.
The High Court in Edinburgh heard how Robertson had travelled to the Central American country and bought the narcotic from dealers there.

The court heard that following arrest police found incriminating text messages on his mobile phone.
One text read: “Just need to make sure it gets there or I’m f****ed.”
The story emerged after Robertson, also of Renfrew, pleaded guilty to being involved in the supply of drugs on Wednesday before temporary judge Paul Arthurson QC.
Judge Arthurson told Robertson that he had no other option but to send him to jail.
