Commercial Street bus crash: Lothian bus involved in collision with Nissan Qashqui on Edinburgh's Commercial Street

Officers are currently at the scene after a crash involving a bus and a car on Commercial Street in the Capital.

The incident happened at around 12pm on Friday, April 23.

It is understood there are no serious injuries.

Officers remain at the scene, however, Police Scotland commented that the road was not blocked as a result of the incident.

The bus is a double-decker Lothian service which appears to have been travelling to Silverknowes and the car has been described as a blue Nissan Qashqui.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We were called around 12noon on Friday, 23 April, to a report of a crash involving a bus and a car in Commercial Street, Edinburgh.

"Officers are currently at the scene."

Lothian Buses is currently helping police with enquiries into the incident.

A spokesperson for Lothian said: “We can confirm that one of our buses was involved in an incident this afternoon and we are assisting Police Scotland with their enquiries.”
