Council cleans up at awards

A COUNCIL’S cleaning service has been named the best in the UK at the annual Association for Public Service Excellence (APSE) awards.

The department at Midlothian Council took home the award for the second successive year at a ceremony in Blackpool. The awards recognise public service excellence across the UK.

The council’s Building Cleaning Service is responsible for council properties, including local schools, libraries and offices.
