Crews tackle takeaway fire

FIREFIGHTERS tackled a blaze in the kitchen of a Chinese restaurant in Corstorphine yesterday.

The fire broke out in the Magic Kitchen at around 12.45pm. Fire crews equipped with breathing apparatus and a hose reel brought it under control. Hand tools were used to cut away sections of the building to ensure it had not spread to the floor above.
