A driver travelling at 104 mph in East Lothian has been charged.

The male driver was detected by police while they were conducting static speed checks on the A1 at Gladsmuir around midday on Saturday, September 26.

The police have charged the 26-year-old man who was driving a white BMW with the offence and a defective tyre.

The speed limit on the A1 at the Gladsmuir stretch is 70 mph.
