Police vehicles and an ambulance were seen parked at The Meadows during an ongoing incident.

Officers were pictured talking to groups of people in the city’s popular green space at about 9pm on Friday night.

In a photo, taken by a concerned resident, litter can be seen strewn across the ground where the ambulance and police vehicles are parked.

The beauty spot has drawn attention over the last few weeks for being subject to severe littering and disruptive behaviour among groups of youths.

Police Scotland has been contacted for comment.
