Officers are checking the CCTV in the area and have launched an appeal for witnesses to come forward.

Detective Constable Marc Lunn said: “I’m appealing to anyone who may have seen or heard anything in the early hours of Thursday morning.

"In particular, I would ask motorists and taxi drivers with dash cams to check their footage as they may have captured images of the stolen vehicles and the footage may provide us with vital information which would assist our enquiries."

If anyone has any information, please call Police Scotland on 101, quoting number 0470 of 27 May 2021.
