A body has been found during the search for a man who has been missing from Broxburn for more than two weeks.

39-year-old Shaun Watson who also goes by the surname Payne and sometimes spells his first name as Shawn, has been missing from the Broxburn area since Monday 3 August 2020.

Last night, Police Scotland confirmed the body of a man has been recovered from the water in Lamberton Shiels, near Berwick Upon Tweed.

Mr Watson’s family have been made aware of the discovery.

Formal identification is yet to take place and a post mortem will carried out in due course to establish the exact cause of death. The death is not being treated as suspicious.
