Boy knocked off bike in crash with car near Edinburgh golf course

A boy was knocked off his bicycle in a crash with a car near to an Edinburgh golf club.

Police were called to the collision in Duddingston Road West at around 12.30pm on Friday. One person who witnessed the aftermath said it happened close to the opening to Duddingston golf course.

A police spokesperson said: “We were made aware of a road traffic crash involving a boy on a bike on Duddingston Road West.

“The boy was placed into the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service.”

The boy, thought to be a teenager, did not sustain serious injuries as a result of the collision.
