Car flips on its roof during crash in quiet Edinburgh street

Emergency services have been called after a car flipped on its roof and crashed in a quiet residential street.

The accident happened at about 4pm on Sunday, 4 October on Waterfront Park, in the Granton area of the city.

The condition of the driver is unknown, but the vehicle has been severely damaged in the incident.

One concerned resident in the area said she saw ambulance staff helping a woman out of the crashed car.

A photo sent in to Edinburgh Evening News shows the scene of the accident cordoned off and a white vehicle upside down with smashed windows.

A police spokesman said: "At about 4.10pm on Sunday 4 October, officers were called to a report of a road crash involving one car on Waterfront Park, Edinburgh.

"Officers are still at the scene and Ambulance is in attendance.”
