Car found in hunt for escaped prisoner
Anthony Ferrie, 33, is believed to have used the Renault Megane taken from outside the owner’s house in Kaimes Brae, Livingston. He had attacked two G4S security guards before making his escape during a hospital visit.
The car was recovered from Stevenston Court, Motherwell, at around 8.30pm on Sunday.

Hide AdPolice are now urging anyone who remembers seeing the driver of the car, or who has any information to come forward immediately.
Detective Inspector Paul Batten said: “We had already been conducting inquiries within the Lanarkshire area and the discovery of this vehicle is of significant interest to our investigation to trace Anthony Ferrie.
“We are very keen to hear from anyone who remembers seeing the individual who left the Renault Megane within Stevenston Court in Motherwell on Sunday evening, or who believes they may have seen Ferrie in this area.”
