Car keys targeted in spate of West Lothian break-ins

Police in West Lothian are appealing for witnesses following two housebreakings in Armadale on Thursday September 14.

In the first incident, thieves gained entry to a house on Marches Drive and stole car keys which were then used to steal a white Kia Sportage, registration SL15WZA.

In the second incident, thieves have gained entry to a property on Birkdale Park and stole car keys from within, but the car was not taken.

Police are now carrying out enquiries into these two housebreakings and are urging anyone who has information to come forward.

PC Julias Nyamakanga of the Community Investigation Unit at West Calder Police Station said: “I’m keen to speak to anyone who may have seen any suspicious persons in the area of the Marches in Armadale in the early hours on Thursday morning, or anyone who has seen the stolen Kia or has information on its whereabouts.”
