CCTV images released following attempted robbery in Edinburgh street

A 25-year-old was assaulted by a man who attempted to rob him.

CCTV images have been released showing a man linked to an attempted robbery in a quiet residential street in the Dalry area.

A 25-year-old man was assaulted by a stranger who attempted to rob him in Orwell Terrace, Edinburgh at about 9.30pm on April 1 this year.

Police have since released images of a man they wish to speak to in connection with the incident, which left the victim very shaken. It is believed he will be able to assist officers with their investigation.

Detective Constable Peter Lyons from Corstorphine CID said: "The victim was understandably very shaken as a result of this attack.

"We are appealing for anyone who can help identify this male as he may be able to assist the officers with their enquiries.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 3529 of 1st April 2020.
