Officers from Livingston’s road policing unit say they attended a report of a vehicle sitting on the hard shoulder of the M876 in West Lothian last night (Thursday April 22).

They report the driver later gave a ‘positive drugwipe’ for the Class A drug cocaine and was arrested.

"The driver later provided a positive drugwipe for Cocaine and was arrested. Blood specimen obtained for analysis and will be reported to Procurator Fiscal if applicable.”

The blood specimen taken will now be analysed and – if necessary - will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal.
