Concerns grow for missing boy, 16, from Edinburgh

Police in Edinburgh have appealed for the public’s help to find a missing teenager.

Ashton McLellan was last seen around 11am near the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.

Officers said the 16-year-old is known to travel to Leith.

Ashton is white and has short dark hair that has purple or red highlights.

He was last seen wearing a grey and black tracksuit top, black cargo trousers, white trainers, a black baseball cap and a small grey Nike body bag.

Inspector Greig Paterson, of Howdenhall Response Policing, said: “We are becomingly increasingly concerned about Ashton’s whereabouts and are asking for the public’s assistance to help trace him safe and well.

“I would ask if anyone has any information that could assist with our search that they get in contact with police.
