Concerns growing for Edinburgh woman who has gone missing after ‘getting lost on a hill’

A woman from Edinburgh has gone missing after getting lost on a hill in the Borders, and concern is growing for her.

Isabelle Watson, 26, was walking the Southern Upland way from Traquair cemetery carpark heading towards the Gordon Arms near St Mary’s Loch with her father and sister.

During the walk she decided to return to the carpark and was last seen about 2pm Sunday 27 September.

She last made contact with her dad at around 5:30pm saying she had got lost on the hill.

Police are appealing to those who may have been around the Innerleithen to St Mary’s Loch area and have seen Isabelle to contact them

She is described as white, around 5’5”, with a heavy build and brown shoulder-length hair. She was wearing a denim jacket and a purple backpack and has in her bag a blue shiny raincoat that she may be wearing.Anyone with information regarding her whereabouts should contact police quoting incident 3115 27/09/2020.
