Coronavirus in Scotland: 198 new cases confirmed in the Lothians as country records 15 deaths

The new figures were released during Nicola Sturgeon’s daily briefing where she announced 15 new deaths have been recorded in Scotland and 1,456 people have tested positive for the virus.
Of the new cases across the country, 500 are in Greater Glasgow and Clyde, 393 in Lanarkshire, 198 in the Lothians and 116 in Ayrshire and Arran.

Hide AdFirst Minister Nicola Sturgeon confirmed 824 people are currently being treated in hospital with the virus, 70 more than yesterday, and 69 people are in intensive care, an increase of eight people from the day before.
So far, 49, 164 people in Scotland have tested positive for coronavirus.
