Fire crews rushed to a blaze inside a derelict building in Edinburgh on Friday evening.

Three fire appliances and one height appliance were scrambled to the derelict building in Eyre Terrace close to King George V Park at 6.43pm on Friday, December 6.

The fire was extinguished and the last appliance left the scene at around 11.07pm.

There were no reports of any injuries.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue spokesperson said: "We recieved a call to a derelict building fire in Eyre Terrace at 6.43pm on Friday, December 6.

"Three fire appliances and one height appliance were in attendance.

"We extinguished the fire and the last appliance left the scene at 11.07pm."
