Death of man 'in his 50s' whose body was found in Holyrood Park is not being treated as suspicious

Police were on the scene from around 11am yesterday

Police Scotland have confirmed that the death of a man found at Holyrood Park yesterday is not being treated as suspicious.

They have also described the man as 'in his 50s', but no further information was given as the family have not yet been notified.

A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: "Officers were called to Holyrood Park shortly after 11am on Sunday 26 January 2020 following the discovery of the body of a man near Dynamic Earth.

"Enquiries are ongoing at this time but the death is not being treated as suspicious."
