Driver arrested for allegedly travelling 20mph above speed limit in West Lothian while under the influence of drugs

A motorist has been arrested in West Lothian for allegedly travelling at nearly 20mph above the legal speed limit while under the influence of drugs.

The Road Policing Scotland twitter page said on Saturday afternoon that officers in Livingston clocked a driver travelling at 69mph on a 50mph stretch of the A899 road which runs through the town.

The tweet said the driver provided a positive drugwipe for cannabis. They will be reported to the procurator fiscal following blood test analysis.
