Drylaw assault: 34-year-old woman sustains 'serious facial injury' in attack outside Day-Today store on Easter Drylaw Place, North Edinburgh

Police are appealing for witnesses after a 34-year-old woman sustained a serious facial injury following an attack outside a convenience store in Drylaw.

At around 9pm on Saturday, April 10, the 34-year-old woman was outside the Day-Today store on Easter Drylaw Place when she was attacked.

Police said she suffered a ‘serious facial injury’ in the assault but did not require hospital treatment.

A police spokesperson said: “Officers are following a positive line of enquiry in relation to the assault but are seeking witnesses to come forward.

"A member of the public came to her aid and officers are especially keen to hear from her."

"Despite the time in the evening the area around the shops was busy with people and officers continue to check CCTV from nearby premises and carry out door-to-door enquiries in relation to the enquiry.”
