Police in Edinburgh are increasing patrols on the Castle Esplanade after they received ‘numerous complaints’ of anti-social behaviour and careless driving in recent weeks.

The increased police presence will deal with any issues which arise in the area.

Police in the area are urging motorists in Edinburgh to raise the standard of driving.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “ We've had numerous complaints of Anti-Social Behaviour and careless driving on the Castle Esplanade over recent weeks and we'll be carrying out extra patrols to deal with any issues.”
