Edinburgh crime news: Man, 48, appears in court accused of murdering Edinburgh man, Liam Maloney

A man has appeared in court accused of murdering Edinburgh dad, Liam Maloney.

Liam died on Saturday, 7 May, after being seriously injured on Niddrie Marischal Road, around 8pm on Thursday, 5 May.

A 48-year-old man, who was later arrested on Monday, appeared briefly in private on petition from custody at Edinburgh Sheriff Court.

Ryan McCabe, who lives in Edinburgh made no plea, and has been remanded in custody.

He will appear again in court within eight days.
