Edinburgh crime news: Police launch man hunt after prisoner escaped while in hospital
A prisoner has escaped from police custody in Edinburgh.

The 22-year-old man was attending hospital on Sunday, under police custody.
On Sunday afternoon, it was reported that he had escaped.
A Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed: “Around 3.30 pm on Sunday, 16 October 2022, a 22-year-old man escaped from the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh whilst under police custody.
"Enquiries are ongoing to trace him.”
