A man has been charged in connection with an incident which saw police, fire and ambulances in Caledonian Crescent in Dalry on Thursday.

Police said they had been called in the afternoon to an incident at a property in the street which involved concern for a person. They later said a man aged 50 had been arrested and charged. But they gave no further details.

Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 3.30pm on Wednesday, 18 January, 2023, police were called to a report of concern for a person at a property on Caledonian Crescent, Edinburgh. A 50-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the incident. He is expected to appear at court at a later date."
