Edinburgh police find 'no criminality' after reported rape in Leith park
Police in Edinburgh have found "no criminality" following an investigation into a reported rape in a Leith park.
Officers taped off Dalmeny Park after a woman reported a serious sexual assault there at the weekend.
Forensic officers were also called to the scene to investigate.
But a statement released by the force on Tuesday confirmed no criminality has been established.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Following the report of a serious sexual assault in the Dalmeny Park area of Edinburgh on Saturday, 18 January, detectives have carried out a thorough investigation and inquiries have concluded, with no criminality established.
"No further police action is required.
"Officers would like to thank the public for their cooperation to allow investigations to take place."
