Edinburgh police probe ‘threatening message’ sent to Portobello High School
and live on Freeview channel 276
Several police cars were pictured outside Portobello High School on Thursday following the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of a threatening message received at Portobello High School in Edinburgh shortly after 10.15am on Thursday, 19 November.

Hide Ad"Officers have attended the school and there is not believed to be any risk to the public or school community.
“We continue to liaise with school staff."
Details of the nature of the threat or how it was sent are unavailable as police are still carrying out an investigation.
No pupils or staff were evacuated from the school as a result of today’s incident.
An Edinburgh City Council spokesperson said: “Police were called to the school this morning after a threatening message was received. They established that there is not believed to be any risk to the public or school community and we will continue to liaise with them as their enquiries continue.
