Edinburgh police release CCTV images after woman is assaulted and robbed in Leith

Police have released CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to in connection with an assault and robbery involving a woman in Leith.

The incident took place at the junction of Henderson Street and Yardheads between 1.30am and 2am on Sunday, September 13.

The man is described as being slim-medium build, 30-40 years old, dark hair which is short at the back and sides and slightly longer on top.

He is clean shaven and was wearing a black jacket with a different shade of black collar, white trousers and brown shoes.

Detective Constable Oliver Healy, Gayfield CID, said: “I would urge anyone who may have been in the area around the time of the incident and saw anything suspicious to contact us as soon as possible."

Anyone with information should contact police on 101, quoting reference number 1241 of Sunday 13th September 2020.
