Emma Sutherland: 13-year-old Edinburgh girl found safe and well after going missing
A 13-year-old girl who was reported missing from the Oxgangs area of Edinburgh has been traced safe and well, police have confirmed.
Emma Sutherland’s famiy became concerned after she was last seen at home around 9am on Sunday 16 August.
Police launched a public appeal and said she was known to frequent the Oxgangs, Ferniehill and Howdernhall areas.A police statement released this evening said: “Police Scotland can confirm that Emma Sutherland (13), who had been reported missing from Oxgangs has been traced safe and well.
"The public and media are thanked for their assistance.”
