Gorgie Road accident: Police and paramedics called after pedestrian involved in crash

Police and paramedics have been called to the scene of an road accident on Gorgie Road in Edinburgh

Police Scotland confirmed that they were called to the incident, which involved a male pedestrian and a van, just after midday.

It is not yet known if there have been injuries.

One eyewitness told the Evening News that there were two police cars and three ambulances at the scene in the southwest of the city.

Officers have erected a temporary sign warning traffic to slow down as they approach the area, but Gorgie Road remains open.
