Granton crash: Woman taken to hospital after car overturns in Edinburgh street

A woman has been taken to hospital after her car flipped onto its roof during a crash in the Capital.

The accident happened in Waterpark Place at about 4pm on Sunday, October 4.

A concerned resident in the area said she saw emergency services assisting a woman out of the crashed vehicle, which was overturned and had smashed windows.

Images showed the vehicle lying on it’s roof on the side of the road.

The driver was then taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary where she was treated for her injuries.

Following the crash, a police spokesman said: "At about 4.05pm on Sunday, October 4, 2020, a one vehicle road traffic crash happened on Waterfront Park in Edinburgh.

"A car overturned and ended up on its roof. The female driver was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary to have her injuries assessed."
