Greenside Place assault: Edinburgh police release images to help trace a woman who may have information

The police are hopeful that the woman in the pictures will be able to help with their investigation.

Police in Edinburgh have released pictures of a woman they are hoping will be able to help with their investigation into a city centre assault.

On Saturday, December 7, 2019, a man was assaulted on Greenside Place near the Edinburgh Playhouse.

The woman in the images is described as white, around 5ft 8ins, slim build with black shoulder length hair.

She is wearing a black jacket, checked scarf and blue denim jeans.

Anyone who recognises the woman in the image or has any information in connection is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 0223 of December 7, 2019.

Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
