Haddington: Police investigate after 11-year-old verbally abused while playing in East Lothian park

An investigation has been launched after police received a report of a child being verbally abused in a park.

The incident occurred on Saturday afternoon at a park in Haddington in East Lothian.

An 11-year-old girl was subjected to verbal abuse, which was reported to the police later in the evening.

Haddington: Police investigate after 11-year-old verbally abused while playing in East Lothian park

A spokesperson from Police Scotland said: “Around 10:20pm, police were made aware that an 11-year-old girl was subjected to verbal abuse in a park in Haddington yesterday afternoon.

"Enquiries into that matter are ongoing.”
