A statement from Police Scotland confirms that a 10-year-old male has been charged with Culpable and Reckless Conduct.

This comes after the child allegedly opened a fire hydrant on Hay Avenue in Edinburgh.

Police Scotland have warned that: “tampering with hydrants puts lives at risk.”

They added: “Do you know where your young person is? Please talk to them about the dangers of such behaviour.”
