A man has been arrested accused of failing to self-isolate after testing positive for coronavirus.

The 20-year-old is said to have visited premises in Holyrood Road, Edinburgh, at about 8.30am on Tuesday when police were called.

Officers dressed in full protective gear – head to toe suits with goggles and breathing masks – arrived shortly after and arrested the man over culpable and reckless conduct.

A police spokeswoman said: "Police called around 8.30am following concern from staff about the behaviour of a man outside their premises on Holyrood Road, Edinburgh.

"A 20 year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries are continuing."
